The Silent Crow hacker group has announced that it has gained access to Rostelecom’s user data.
According to the group’s representatives, the hackers managed to download databases from the websites company.rt.ru and zakupki.rostelecom.ru. To prove their point, they published a fragment of the database containing 154,000 unique email addresses and 101,000 unique phone numbers.
Rostelecom itself confirmed the data leak. Preliminarily, it could have occurred from the infrastructure of one of its contractors, the company said, noting that it is taking measures to eliminate the identified threats.
