The number of people killed in the Romny community of Sumy region after the overnight Russian attack has risen to four. A small child is among the victims.
Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported the updated toll.
According to updated information, Russian forces attacked an apartment building with a strike UAV. A large fire broke out after the hit.
Two women, an elderly man and a small child were killed in the attack. The child was a girl who was not yet two years old.
According to Hryhorov, the Russian strike killed the child together with her mother.
Three more men were injured. All those wounded are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
“A difficult night for the entire Sumy region. My sincere condolences to all the relatives and loved ones of those killed”, the regional governor said.
The consequences of the Russian attack are still being clarified.
