The 1,168th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, there were 200 combat engagements on the front line, including 78 in the Pokrovsk direction, 31 in the Lyman direction, and 18 assaults repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched one missile and 80 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using two missiles and dropping 175 guided air bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 6,100 shelling attacks, including 113 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,344 kamikaze drones.
The Russians carried out air strikes on the following populated areas:
- Vorozhba, Iskryskivshchyna, Myropillia, Bilopillia in the Sumy region;
- Zolochiv, Kozacha Lopan, Pidlyman in the Kharkiv region;
- Shevchenko Pershe, Nova Poltavka, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Oleksandrograd, Novopil, Zelenе Pole in the Donetsk region;
- Malynivka, Temyrivka, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Kam’yanske in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and Lyman directions
Over the past day, four combat clashes took place in the Vovchansk area in the Kharkiv direction.
In the Kupiansk direction, five attacks by the occupiers took place during the day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the area of Zagryzove and in the direction of Novoosynove and Hlushevka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 31 times. They tried to advance near the settlements of Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Nove, Kolodyazi, Myrne, Torske, and in the direction of Zelenaya Dolina.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the area of Chasiv Yar, Kurdyumivka, and in the direction of Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out six attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Ozarianivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 78 attacks by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Sukha Balka, Stara Mykolaivka, Vodyane Druhe, Novotoretske, Shevchenko, Udachne, Uspivka, Troitske, Kotlyarivka, Bohdanivka, and Andriivka.
Novopavlivka, Orikhiv, and Kursk directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 24 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Novopil, Novosilka, Pryvillia, Komar, and in the direction of Odrandove.
The enemy also attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders seven times in the area of Vysokyi in the Huliaipilska direction.
In the Orikhiv direction, near Stepove, Malyi Shcherbakiv, Kam’yanske, and in the direction of Novoandriivka and Novodanilivka, the invaders carried out 14 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
In the Siverskyi and Prydniprovsk directions, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
In the Kursk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 18 enemy attacks over the past day. The enemy fired 330 artillery shells, eight of them from multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out 12 air strikes, dropping 27 guided air bombs.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of the formation of offensive groups by the aggressor were detected.
