On the night of November 6, Ukrainian troops carried out several strikes on Russian military and logistics facilities. As a result, a base for storing and launching Shahed drones in Donetsk was destroyed, and the Volgograd oil refinery and three fuel depots in occupied Crimea were hit.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of November 5, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a base for storing, assembling, and launching Shahed UAVs in the temporarily occupied Donetsk at the airport. Explosions and a powerful secondary detonation were recorded. The task was carried out by units of the missile forces and artillery, the Unmanned Systems Forces (414th Brigade), and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Defense Forces also struck the Volgograd Oil Refinery in Russia. The annual volume of oil products processed by this plant is 15.7 million tons (5.6% of the total processing in Russia). Explosions and a fire were recorded in the area of the facility.
“In order to reduce the enemy’s logistical capabilities in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, three fuel and lubricant facilities were hit,” the General Staff reported.
Specifically, at the oil depot in the village of Gvardeyskoye, a tank and cisterns with fuel and lubricants on the loading rack were hit. At two fuel and lubricant depots in Simferopol, tank farms were hit. Fires in fuel tanks were reported.
