On Monday, July 28, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in the western, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions. The air temperature at night will be 14-19°, during the day — 23-28°. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
In the northern, central, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions, it will be cloudy with clear spells. There will be moderate, sometimes heavy rain, with possible thunderstorms. In the Kyiv and Cherkasy regions, hail and squalls of 15-20 m/s are expected in some places during the day. The rest of the territory will be dry. The air temperature at night will be 17-22°, in the south up to 25°, during the day — 29-34°, in the southern, Kirovohrad, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, there will be intense heat in some places — up to 35-38°, in the northern regions — 27-32°.
In Kyiv and the region, cloudy weather with clear spells, rain, heavy in places, and thunderstorms are forecast. During the day, hail and squalls of 15-20 m/s are possible. The temperature in the capital at night will be 20-22°, during the day 27-29°, in the region — 17-22° at night and 27-32° during the day.
The first level of danger, yellow, has been declared in the Kyiv region. Weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction, and utility services, as well as traffic.
In addition, an extreme fire hazard (class 5) is forecast in the forests of the Kharkiv region from July 28 to 30. Local authorities urge people to refrain from visiting forests and not to light fires in open areas.
