The government has approved additional payments for specialists directly involved in restoring critical infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks. They will receive UAH 30,000 for each month they participate in restoration work.
Serhii Koretskyi reported this.
The additional payments will be provided to energy workers, heating and gas specialists, employees of water supply and wastewater companies, municipal utility workers and railway employees.
The payments will be made starting in November and will continue until the end of the heating season. According to Koretskyi, the decision was adopted on the direct instruction of the president.
More than 2,000 strikes recorded since August
Koretskyi said the scale and intensity of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure are unprecedented since the start of the full-scale war.
According to him, Russian forces launch 300–400 drones at critical infrastructure facilities every day and also regularly use missiles, including ballistic missiles.
More than 2,000 strikes have been recorded since August.
The attacks are destroying power transmission lines and exposed elements of the grid. They have to be restored again and again, while the volume of repair work, according to Koretskyi, is several times greater than in previous years.
He stressed that it is thanks to these specialists that the energy system, utilities and railway continue to operate and remain resilient.
