As of 16:00 on 7 June, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous attacks on several frontline areas. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a summary of the Russian invasion.
A total of 119 combat engagements were recorded during the day. The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest – the enemy made 45 breakthrough attempts there, 38 of which were successfully repelled by Ukrainian troops, and seven more battles are ongoing. Intense fighting also continued in the Liman, Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Novopavlivka and Kursk sectors.
In the Novopavlivka sector, our troops repelled 16 enemy attacks. Four firefights are still ongoing. The towns of Shevchenko, Komyshuvakha, Maliivka and Olgivske came under air strikes.
In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks by the invaders, and four more clashes are still ongoing.
The border areas of Sumy region, including Marchykhyna Buda, Seredyna Buda, Turya and others, came under attack from Russian artillery and aviation. The enemy also carried out air strikes on several settlements in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The situation in other parts of the frontline has not changed significantly.
