The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed that on September 29, missile forces and artillery units, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, launched missiles at the Karachevsky Plant “Elektrodetal” (Karachev, Bryansk Region, Russian Federation). Four missiles were launched during the strike, with a flight range of over 240 kilometers. Explosions and a fire were reported on the territory of the enterprise; the results of the strike are being clarified.
In addition, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine specified that it was the Ukrainian anti-ship complex Neptune that accurately targeted the Karachevsky Plant Elektrodetal.
The Karachevsky Elektrodetal plant specializes in the production of electrical connectors for military and general industrial applications — from connectors for printed circuit boards to components for aviation, radio engineering, and other industries. It is precisely because of these products that the facility is of strategic importance in terms of supplying components for military equipment.
