New details about the display of the upcoming iPhone 20 have surfaced online. The device is expected to mark the 20th anniversary of the iPhone with a redesigned look.
According to 9to5Mac, leaker Digital Chat Station has shared new information about the display of the future iPhone 20.
Apple is reportedly working with Samsung to develop a new type of display featuring a subtle micro-curve on all four sides, creating the effect of a nearly bezel-free device.
The curve is expected to be minimal to avoid accidental touches during use.
The company may also remove the polarizing layer from the display, which could improve brightness, reduce thickness, and increase energy efficiency.
Reports suggest that the iPhone 20 design could come closest yet to the “single slab of glass” concept previously described by designer Jony Ive.
The new model is expected to be released next year as a special anniversary device.
