        Defense Forces strike St. Petersburg oil terminal and Russian fleet base in Kronstadt

        On the night of July 4, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the St. Petersburg oil terminal in Russia’s Leningrad region.

        According to the General Staff, the attack was carried out as part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor. A hit was recorded at the facility, followed by a fire on the terminal’s territory.

        The extent of the damage is being clarified.

        The St. Petersburg oil terminal is one of the largest petroleum product transshipment terminals in the Baltic region. Its designed throughput capacity is 12.5 million tonnes of petroleum products per year, while its tank farm has a total volume of about 441,000 cubic meters.

        The General Staff noted that the facility is involved in supplying Russia’s occupying army.

        Ukraine’s Defense Forces also struck the Kronstadt base in the Leningrad region. A hit was recorded at the facility, followed by a fire on the port’s territory.

        Kronstadt is one of the main bases of Russia’s Baltic Fleet. The extent of the damage is also being clarified.

        In addition, Ukrainian forces hit an enemy helicopter in the waters of the Sea of Azov. The extent of its damage is currently being assessed.

        Separately, the General Staff reported a strike on a railway bridge over the Siverskyi Donets River near Stanytsia Luhanska. Russian troops used this facility to move personnel, weapons, ammunition and logistical supplies.

        Two enemy command posts near Shakhtarske in Donetsk region, a drone depot in Tytarivka, a repair unit in Starobilsk and a fuel and lubricants depot in Luhansk were also hit.
