The 1,265th day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. From July 31 to August 1, 137 combat engagements were recorded. There were 42 battles in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 33 attacks in the Novopavlivka direction, and 19 assaults were repelled in the Lyman direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy carried out 59 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 111 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 6,009 shellings, 105 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,615 kamikaze drones to strike targets.
The occupiers carried out air strikes on the following populated areas:
- Velykomykhailivka, Tykhe, Dnipropetrovsk region;
- Novomykolaivka, Novodanilivka, Yulivka, Zaporizhzhia, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Kozatske, Kherson region.
Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions
Two enemy attacks took place in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. The enemy carried out ten air strikes, dropping 20 guided bombs, and carried out 293 shelling attacks, including 10 from multiple launch rocket systems.
South Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Lyman, and Siversky directions
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled four enemy attacks in the Vovchansk area.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were eight attacks by the occupiers over the past day. The defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Radkivka, Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Nova Kruhlyakivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 19 times. They tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Karpivka, Kolodyazi, Hrekivka, Torske, and towards Shandryholove and Dronivka.
In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five enemy attacks over the past day. The occupiers’ units attempted to push back the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Hryhorivka, Vyimka, and Verkhniokam’yanske.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk directions
Six clashes were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction, with the aggressor attempting to advance in the areas of Novomarkove, Chasove Yaru, and towards Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of the settlements of Diliivka, Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalinove, Katerynivka, and towards Rusyn Yar and Pleshchiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 42 assaults and offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Zatyshok, Kucheri Yar, Nikanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrolyubivka, Sukhetske, Chunyishyne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Horikove, Dachne, and Fedorivka.
Novopavlivka, Prydniprovsk, Orikhiv, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 33 enemy attacks near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Vilne Pole, Temyrivka, Filiya, Maliivka, Myrne, Oleksandrograd, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, and Olgivske.
In the Huliaipilske direction, the invaders carried out two attacks in the Malynivka area.
In the Orikhiv direction, the invading troops attacked in the Kam’yanske area and in the direction of Mala Tokmachka, and Ukrainian defenders repelled four offensive actions.
In the Prydniprovsk direction, the aggressor made four futile attempts to attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
