Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukrainian troops have advanced more than three kilometres in the Zaporizhzhia direction near the town of Orikhiv.
In his latest address, the president said that Ukrainian Armed Forces units are continuing their counteroffensive in the Dobropillia area of Donetsk Oblast.
He thanked the soldiers of the 24th separate assault battalion ‘Aidar’, the 33rd assault regiment and other Ukrainian units that were involved in ‘clearing’ the territories from the invaders.
Today, the 24th Separate Assault Battalion ‘Aidar’ reported the liberation of the village of Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia Oblast from Russian occupiers. Commander of the Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valentin Manko said that Ukrainian defenders also carried out a successful counteroffensive special operation in the Steppove area.
Recently, the Chief of the General Staff of the aggressor country’s army, Valery Gerasimov, stated that the new strategic task for the Russian Federation is to capture Zaporizhzhia.
