A search and rescue operation is underway in Kyiv after a massive attack by the Russian Federation on the night of April 24. The number of victims has increased to 70 people.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
According to Suspilne TV, rescuers pulled the body of the tenth victim of the attack from the rubble in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv.
Rescuers worked at 13 locations after the enemy attack. In Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, the rubble of a destroyed building is being cleared. Engineers, rescue workers and search dogs are involved.
“Phone calls can be heard from under the ruins – the search will continue until they are sure they have found everyone. There is information about two children who still cannot be found at the scene,” the Interior Minister wrote.
The police are also going around the apartments in nearby buildings, checking on people’s condition. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the police are involved at each location where people were injured.
