Borrell spent the morning in a bomb shelter in Kiev

European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell spent the morning in a bomb shelter in Kiev.

“Starting my day in Kyiv in the shelter, as Russia unleashes another missile attack. This is the daily reality for the Ukrainian people since Russia‘s full-scale invasion,” Borrell wrote on his X.

Borrell arrived in Kiev on Saturday, Nov. 9 – this is the fifth trip to Kiev he has made since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

He said the visit was his last as the European Union’s high representative for foreign policy and security affairs.

On the morning of November 11, an air alert was declared across Ukraine, including the capital, due to the takeoff of Tu-95MS strategic bombers and MiG-31K fighter jets capable of carrying Kinzhal missiles. However, there were no confirmations of strategic aviation missile launches.

During the night in Kiev, the air alert lasted four and a half hours, which was due to an attack by attack drones.
