Freelance adviser to the defense minister Serhii Beskrestnov said that Russia’s leadership is ready to wage war against Ukraine in its current format for a very long time.
According to him, it is not a problem for Russia to find 30,000 people every month to send to the front in order to hold the line of combat.
Beskrestnov also noted that he knows Russia’s current capabilities and the scale of its UAV and missile production.
In his assessment, Russians can attack Ukraine with drones and missiles for years with China’s support.
He believes that the real opportunity to speed up the end of the war lies in the reaction of Russia’s population to Ukraine’s actions.
Beskrestnov said that earlier, for many Russians, the war was “somewhere far away,” but now it has suddenly come close.
According to him, Russians need to be told the real reasons for their current problems and the ways to solve them.
He also called for more content from Russia to be published in comments and posts so that the population can see what nationwide problems the war is causing.
Beskrestnov emphasized that most Russians do not need this war and that it must be ended.
“If it is not ended, then in the future it will not only be us who spend winter without electricity and heat, but also a large part of the population of central Russia,” he said.
The defense minister’s adviser also added that wars can be different, and not all of them take place on the battlefield.
“Cognitive warfare is one of them. And we in the Ministry of Defense know what it is,” Beskrestnov noted.
