Today, October 4, at around 11:50 a.m., Russians attacked Ukrzaliznytsia trains with drones while they were at the train station in the city of Shostka, Sumy region. Eight people are known to have been injured.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
At the time of the strike, there were two trains at the station. The first UAV hit a commuter train, and the second hit the Kyiv-Shostka train.
“The first strike hit the locomotive of the Tereshchynska-Novohrad-Siverskyi commuter train. When the evacuation of people began, the enemy attacked again, this time targeting the electric locomotive of the Kyiv-Shostka train. There are wounded among the passengers and employees of Ukrzaliznytsia,” wrote Oleksiy Kuleba, Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
According to the prosecutor’s office, at least eight people were injured as a result of the attack by the occupiers.
“Our injured employee, a suburban train cashier, and the injured passengers, including three children, are receiving medical assistance in hospitals,” Ukrzaliznytsia reported.
