Almost the entire city of Chernihiv has been left without electricity following a massive Russian attack on energy infrastructure. Critical energy equipment was damaged as a result of the strikes.

The Chernihiv City Council reported that due to the near-total power outage, critical infrastructure facilities in the city have begun switching to alternative power sources. Officials noted that this is a technical process that requires time, and the transition is currently ongoing. The situation is said to be under the control of relevant specialists.

According to the regional power utility, Russian forces damaged a key energy facility in the Nizhyn district. As a result, hundreds of thousands of consumers were left without electricity.
