After Russia’s night-time attack, 5,635 high-rise buildings in Kyiv were left without heating. Almost 80% of them are buildings where heating had been restored after the strike on critical infrastructure on 9 January.
This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
According to him, on the evening before, only 16 of about 6,000 buildings were left without heat due to damage to critical infrastructure during the attack on 9 January.
As a result of today’s shelling, the left bank of the capital is also currently without water supply.
Klitschko noted that utility services and energy companies are working to restore heat, water and electricity to the homes of Kyiv residents.
