        Man was killed and 11 people were wounded as a result of Russian attacks in Sumy region

        A man was killed as a result of Russian shelling of Sumy region during the day. Another 11 residents were wounded.

        This was reported by the Sumy Regional State Administration.

        A 35-year-old man was killed in the Bilopil community as a result of KAB strikes.

        Men aged 34, 46, and 48 and women aged 26, 36, 40, 40, 47, 53, 55, and 62 were also injured as a result of the shelling.

        In total, from January 15 to the morning of January 16, 2026, Russian troops carried out more than 40 shelling attacks on 27 settlements in 16 territorial communities of the region.
