Sixteen-year-old skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych secured a quota for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games following the final World Cup stage of the season in Winterberg, Germany, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine said.
Heraskevych finished 11th in the World Cup race, which was enough to meet the Olympic qualification requirements.
At the same competition, 16-year-old Vladyslav Klimenko won a bronze medal at the U20 European Skeleton Championships, recording a combined time of 1:54.94 over two runs to claim his first international medal.
Another Ukrainian athlete, Yaroslav Lavreniuk, finished 19th, marking his second-best result at World Cup stages.
