Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted a decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine “On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)” against five companies registered in China that supply components for the production of Shahed-type UAVs.
This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 466/2025, published on the website of the President of Ukraine on July 8.
Sanctions have been imposed on the Chinese companies China Asia Silk Road International Trade (Tianjin) Co, Suzhou Ecod Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Suzhou Ecod Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Shenzhen Jinduobang Technology Co., Ltd, Ningbo BLIN Machinery Co., Ltd, and Ningbo Benin Machine Tool Co., Ltd.
It should be recalled that during the massive shelling of Kyiv on the night of July 4, Chinese-made components were found in the downed Shahed drones.
According to Vladislav Vlasyuk, an advisor to the President of Ukraine, among the companies that have been sanctioned today are Ningbo BLIN Machinery Co., Ltd and Suzhou ECOD Precision Manufacturing, which supplied products to Russian companies under sanctions in 2024 and 2025.
As previously reported by the SBU, Chinese-made components were found in the UAVs used by Russia to attack Kyiv on the night of July 3-4. SBU investigators found components manufactured in China in the Geran UAV (the Russian version of the Shahed drone). This is evidenced by the markings of the manufacturer, Suzhou Ecod Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd, on the relevant parts.
