President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said there are difficulties in organizing negotiations over the war. According to him, Ukraine feels more like a mediator than a party to the conflict.

He said this in a comment for the “Unified News” telethon. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine communicates daily with the American side, and negotiating teams remain in contact.

At the same time, he said there are limitations regarding the location of meetings. In particular, the United States can only hold talks on its own territory, while Russia is ready to meet anywhere except the US.

The president also noted that due to the war in the Middle East, particularly the conflict with Iran, the American side is not traveling abroad for security reasons, and its negotiating team remains in the country.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is ready for meetings in a trilateral format and proposes holding them in Europe — including Turkey or Switzerland — or in the Middle East.
