President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that following Russia’s latest massive attack on Ukraine, sanctions pressure on the aggressor state must be significantly increased. He stated this in an address published on the official Telegram channel of the President.

The Head of State informed that there were killed and wounded, including children, as a result of the strike on Dnipro. Casualties were also reported in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Odesa regions. Zelenskyy emphasized that all emergency services are working on site, restoring damaged infrastructure and assisting those affected.

According to Zelenskyy, Russia launched over 450 attack drones and 45 missiles of various types targeting residential buildings, energy facilities, and infrastructure. He stressed that such attacks must be met with new sanctions — particularly against Russia’s energy sector, defense industry, and trade in oil and gas.

The President also urged the European Union to adopt a decision on frozen Russian assets and expressed hope for increased pressure from the United States, Europe, and the G7 countries.
