Ukraine is consulting with partners in Europe, the US, and Middle Eastern countries on the situation in the Gulf region. Kyiv has declared its readiness to help protect civilians, stabilize the situation, and support the restoration of safe navigation.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on March 4.

Zelenskyy said that he spoke with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar yesterday, and today with the leaders of Jordan and Bahrain. Talks with Kuwait and other countries in the region are also planned.
“All of them face a serious challenge and speak openly about it: Iranian strike drones are the same ‘shahids’ that have been attacking our cities and villages, our Ukrainian infrastructure, throughout the years of this war,” the president said.
Zelenskyy said that Iran had launched more than 800 missiles of various types and more than 1,400 attack drones in a few days.
The president said that Ukraine could help protect lives and stabilize the situation. According to him, partners are already asking for such assistance.
Zelensky instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with intelligence services, the Minister of Defense, the military command, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, to present options for support to the relevant states and provide assistance in such a way that it does not weaken Ukraine’s defense.
According to him, the Ukrainian military has the necessary capabilities, and Ukrainian experts will work on site. Teams are already negotiating such cooperation.
“We are ready to help protect lives, protect civilians, and support real efforts to stabilize the situation and restore, in particular, safe navigation in the region,” Zelenskyy concluded.
