The Ukrainian president also thanked the United States for its support and stressed that Ukraine remembers every step of American assistance, from Javelin anti-tank systems to Patriot air defense systems.

During the conversation, Zelenskyy briefed Trump on the latest developments on the battlefield and said that Ukraine’s position has strengthened.

He added that the two leaders discussed measures that could help bring peace closer and save lives.

The presidents also agreed to continue their discussions during a face-to-face meeting at the upcoming Group of Seven (G7) summit.

“We agreed to discuss more during our meeting at the G7 summit. We have some good ideas that can help bring peace closer and protect lives,” Zelenskyy said.

Earlier reports indicated that the phone call between Zelenskyy and Trump lasted about 30 minutes and included discussions on peace negotiations and continued support for Ukraine.
