In his daily address, President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that Ukrainian forces and special services are inflicting significant losses on Russia at the front, in border areas, and even deep inside Russian territory. He highlighted the recent strike on Russia’s largest oil terminal in Primorsk, which he said has seriously undermined the enemy’s ability to finance the war.

Zelensky noted that the most effective sanctions against the Kremlin are strikes on its oil refineries, terminals, and depots. “Russia’s war is essentially a function of oil, gas, and other energy resources,” he stated.

The president also said that Ukrainian special forces and drones can now operate at distances of more than 1,000 kilometers, keeping strategic Russian ports and infrastructure in their sights. He thanked all units involved in these operations for their precision.

Zelensky placed particular emphasis on the growth of Ukraine’s defense industry, underscoring the rising production of drones and strike systems, especially interceptor drones. “At the state level, we support every business that strengthens our defense capability. A technological war requires constant innovation, and I thank all engineers, developers, companies, and volunteers who help keep our defense at the proper technological level,” he said.

He also pointed to progress on the battlefield: Ukrainian forces are advancing in Sumy region, repelling attacks in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, and holding back Russian assaults in Zaporizhzhia. Zelensky expressed gratitude to several assault and airborne brigades for their resilience and effectiveness.

“Russia could have ended this war long ago but has rejected every peace proposal. That is why we are strengthening our defenses and expanding our arsenal,” the president concluded.
