President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia continues its massive air strikes on Ukraine, particularly on energy infrastructure. He announced this in a video address posted on social media.

According to the president, many regions of the country have been under fire during the week, and air raid sirens are currently sounding in many areas due to the threat of attack drones. Zelensky noted that in the last seven days alone, Russia has used more than 3,100 drones, 92 missiles and about 1,360 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine.

The president stressed that Russian attacks claim the lives of civilians every day. In particular, the day before, in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, a Russian aerial bomb hit a church, killing a child.

“Moscow is allowing itself to escalate its attacks and is taking advantage of the fact that the world is focused on ensuring peace in the Middle East. That is why we must not ease the pressure,” Zelenskyy stressed.

He called on international partners not to reduce sanctions pressure on Russia, to continue joint action against buyers of Russian oil, and to maintain restrictions that financially exhaust the aggressor.

The President also reported that Ukrainian services across the country are dealing with the aftermath of the strikes, carrying out repairs and helping those affected. Zelenskyy stressed the importance of local authorities providing adequate support to citizens who have suffered losses.
