Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva to discuss continued support for Ukraine and future cooperation with the IMF.
The meeting was announced by the Office of the President.
Zelensky thanked the IMF for its support of Ukraine and for the fund’s programs, which he said help maintain the country’s economic stability and serve as an important signal of confidence for international partners.
During the meeting, Zelensky and Georgieva held detailed discussions on future cooperation and agreed to continue working together.
The Ukrainian president also briefed the IMF chief on reforms aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s economic security.
According to Zelensky, the successful completion of the IMF’s recent mission to Ukraine was a significant achievement and an important step toward further strengthening the country’s financial stability.
The Office of the President said both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and support for reforms needed to ensure the resilience of Ukraine’s economy during the war.
