During the Ukraine. Year 2025 forum, Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, emphasized that the country continues to work on clear and effective security guarantees aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace.
“We will not make any compromises that could threaten our independence or territorial integrity. Today, it is indeed possible to stop the war, but how it ends is crucial, as it will determine Ukraine’s future,” Yermak stated.
According to him, one of the potential elements of security guarantees could be US and EU investments in the exploration and production of mineral resources in Ukraine. Negotiations with the United States on the relevant agreement are ongoing, with Ukraine’s stance remaining firm: the agreement must align with national interests and be mutually beneficial for both sides.
Yermak also highlighted the importance of strengthening relations with partner countries and ensuring Ukraine’s active presence on international platforms.
“Today, Ukraine is respected worldwide as a serious and reliable partner. This forms the foundation of our position,” he noted.
The Head of the Office of the President stressed the need to maintain unity within Ukrainian society, counter disinformation, and prevent enemy attempts to destabilize the situation. He also commended the bipartisan support for Ukraine in the US Congress, calling it “a powerful signal to the world.”
“Ukrainian democracy, fighting for its future, serves as an example for many. We have no right to stop,” Yermak concluded.
