On the night of July 30, drones attacked a Wildberries logistics center in Russia’s Penza region. One person was injured in the fire, and about 200 employees were evacuated.
This was reported by the Telegram channels Astra and Exilenova+.
After the explosions, a large Wildberries distribution center caught fire in the village of Mastinovka, Bessonovsky district. Firefighters, rescuers, medics and law enforcement officers are working at the scene.
The total area of the logistics complex is expected to reach about 180,000 square metres once construction is completed. The first stage, covering approximately 90,000–91,000 square metres, was already operational.
Because the smoke may move towards Penza, the city authorities advised residents to close their windows and spend less time outdoors.
A Wildberries warehouse in Sarapul, Udmurtia, located more than 1,400 km from Ukraine’s state border, was also attacked. Russ & Wildberries said employees had been evacuated in advance after an air raid alert was declared, and that a fire broke out at the facility as a result of the attack. Fire crews are working at the scene, and preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties. The company added that logistics chains had been reorganized, while deliveries and order shipments were being handled at other facilities. Acting Head of Udmurtia Olga Abramova had reported the threat of a drone attack in the region.
The Crimean Wind monitoring group also reported large-scale fires at an oil and gas terminal in Taman, Krasnodar region. It is the largest privately owned oil-loading complex in southern Russia, with a capacity of about 19.9 million tonnes per year.
