Ukraine continues to receive intelligence from the United States. Intelligence cooperation between Kyiv and Washington has not been suspended.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said this at the Warsaw Security Forum on October 13.
Ukraine’s top diplomat confirmed that intelligence sharing between Kyiv and Washington had continued without interruption.
“Are we receiving intelligence from the American side? Yes, we are continuing this cooperation,” Sybiha said.
The minister also commented on Russia’s overnight attack on Ukraine. The air raid alert was issued with a delay because Russia had used a particular type of weapon.
Earlier, the Financial Times reported, citing sources, that US officials had threatened to stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine unless Kyiv halted its attacks on Russian oil refineries.
On October 9, US President Donald Trump announced an agreement to supply Russian diesel fuel to the global market and temporarily ease US sanctions on Russia following a phone call with Vladimir Putin.
The following day, Trump urged Ukraine to stop striking Russian oil refineries, linking the attacks to a diesel fuel shortage.
