Emergency blackouts have been introduced in Ukraine due to a massive Russian missile attack. On the night of February 11, the Russians targeted the gas infrastructure.
This was reported by Ukrenergo.
“Restrictive measures will be lifted after the air raid is over and the situation in the power system stabilizes,” the statement said.
According to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko, the enemy attacked the gas infrastructure at night. As of this morning, the energy sector is still under attack.
“In order to minimize the possible consequences for the energy system, the transmission system operator is urgently applying emergency electricity restrictions,” Galushchenko wrote.
The consequences will be clarified as soon as the security situation allows.
