The Cabinet of Ministers has kept the current preferential prices for natural gas for households and heat producers until March 31. The decision will remain in effect until the end of the heating season.
This was announced by Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi on Telegram.
According to him, the decision was made amid the moratorium on tariff increases introduced by the Verkhovna Rada during martial law, as well as taking into account the difficult socio-economic situation in the country.
The government said that extending preferential gas prices is aimed at ensuring stability for consumers during the heating season.
At the same time, Ukraine continues work on fulfilling its commitments to international partners. The government, together with other state bodies, is working to improve tariff policy and introduce a more transparent system of tariff setting.
The authorities also plan to increase targeted assistance for citizens who need support the most.
