Ukrainians will be automatically registered for military service upon reaching the age of 17

The Parliament has supported in the first reading a bill that will automatically register Ukrainian citizens for military service upon reaching the age of 17.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, young people no longer need to go to the military registration and enlistment office or undergo a medical examination. They will only need to be identified in Reserve+, after which the application will generate a military registration document.

“We are making public services as accessible and transparent as possible for Ukrainians. I am grateful to MPs for supporting this important initiative,” he emphasized.
