The United Arab Emirates has denied reports from Israeli media claiming that the country carried out a strike on Iranian territory, saying the information is not true.
The statement was made on social media by Dr. Ali Alnuaimi, chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the UAE’s Federal National Council.
“This is fake news. When we do something, we have the courage to announce it,” he said.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that the United Arab Emirates had allegedly carried out a strike on an Iranian desalination plant. UAE officials rejected those claims.
