Ukrainian athlete Uliana Stepanuik became a bronze medalist in the 100-meter race at the U20 European Championships held in Tampere, Finland. This is the first medal for Ukraine on this distance in the entire history of participation in the junior continental championship.

Stepanuik advanced to the final, winning her semifinal race with a personal best of 11.50 seconds. In the decisive race, the athlete finished with a result of 11.53 seconds, securing third place in the final meters of the distance.
The victory was won by Italian Kelly Dualla (11.22), with “silver” going to British athlete Mabel Akande (11.41). For Ukraine, this award became the first not only on the 100-meter distance but also the first at the U20 European Championships this year.
