Units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Defense Forces, have halted the Russian offensive in their area of responsibility on the Zaporizhzhia front. This was reported by the HUR.
According to the intelligence agency, fighters of the “Tymur Special Unit” have been conducting a comprehensive defensive operation in this sector for three months. The main objective of the operation is to disrupt the enemy’s offensive plans and prevent its advance toward the regional center.
During active combat operations, HUR special forces eliminated more than 300 Russian troops killed and wounded, while another 39 occupiers were taken prisoner.
Ukrainian intelligence units are also striking enemy logistics facilities with drones and artillery. The HUR noted that due to shortages in supplies, Russian forces are increasingly refusing to carry out assault operations in this direction.
According to the intelligence agency, the actions of Ukrainian special forces have made it possible to stabilize the defense on positions favorable for the Defense Forces and protect the city of Zaporizhzhia.
The operation involves units Khymerya, RDK, Bratstvo, Aratta, the Siberian Battalion, Stuhna, First Line, 1514, Paragon, BDK, Vartovi Temryavy, Raven Group, Art Division, and the 6th Special Operations Detachment, which are part of the “Tymur Special Unit” of the HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
