Ukrainian defence forces continue to repel Russian assaults across the entire frontline, with at least 89 combat engagements reported since the start of Sunday, July 27. This was confirmed in the evening update by Ukraine’s General Staff.
Border areas with Russia remain under regular shelling. The villages of Yanzhulivka in Chernihiv region and Kucheriivka, Slavgorod, Uhroidy, Khliborob, and Rev’yakyne in Sumy region came under Russian artillery fire.
On the Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy attacks, with two more clashes ongoing. Russian forces also launched nine airstrikes using 20 guided aerial bombs and carried out 163 artillery attacks, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhansky sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped four assaults near the settlements of Zelene, Fiholivka, Zapadne, and in the direction of Petro-Ivanivka.
On the Kupiansk axis, Russian troops attempted twice to push toward Ukrainian positions near Bohuslavka. Meanwhile, eight enemy assaults were recorded on the Lyman front, near Hrekivka and toward Hryhorivka and Shandryholove.
In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled two attacks near Serebrianka, with two additional engagements ongoing near Verkhniokamianske and Hryhorivka.
The Kramatorsk front saw a single Russian assault near Stupochky, which was repelled.
The most intense fighting continues on the Toretsk and Pokrovsk axes. Near Toretsk, Russian forces launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions around Oleksandro-Kalyneve, Rusyn Yar, Shcherbynivka, and Yablunivka, with three clashes still ongoing. On the Pokrovsk front, 29 enemy assaults were recorded across a broad area, including Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Orikhove, Poltavka, and in the direction of Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Rodynske. One engagement continues at this hour.
Further south, Ukrainian troops held back three out of four Russian attacks on the Novopavlivka axis near Zelene Pole, Piddubne, and in the direction of Temyrivka. One battle remains underway.
No combat clashes occurred on the Hulyaipole front, although an airstrike hit the settlement of Bilohiria. Russian forces showed no active movement on the Orikhiv axis.
On the Prydniprovske front, the enemy attempted to advance three times toward the village of Prydniprovske and dropped guided bombs on the settlement of L’vove.
Despite persistent attacks, Ukrainian defence lines remain intact along the entire front.
