Ukrainian troops are conducting offensive operations in the southern operational zone and are gradually moving forward. The Defense Forces are fighting to liberate settlements.
This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to him, he spent the day working in the southern operational zone, where active combat operations are ongoing. Syrskyi met with the leadership of the offensive grouping of Ukrainian forces as well as commanders of brigades, regiments and battalions involved in offensive operations.
During the visit, he heard reports on the results of previous tasks, the current situation and the actions of units in designated sectors.
According to Syrskyi, the Defense Forces are holding their positions, destroying Russian troops and gradually moving forward.

The commander-in-chief also said he issued orders on the ground to address problematic issues and discussed options and prospects for further actions with commanders.
“Our priorities are the liberation of Ukrainian territory from the occupiers and preserving the lives of our soldiers,” he said.
At the same time, Syrskyi stressed that informational silence is important for the success of the operation.
