In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces left their positions near five settlements, including Uspenivka and Novomykolaivka. Heavy fighting continues in this section of the front, with the enemy attempting to break through the defenses and cut off the logistics route in the direction of Pokrovsk.
This was reported by Suspilne Zaporizhzhia, citing Vladislav Voloshin, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces.
“We have completely withdrawn from Uspenivka and Novomykolaivka. Very fierce fighting continues for Yablukove and another 3-4 points where fighting is ongoing. The defensive operation continues. The line of contact is quite dynamic. We are trying to drive out the enemy. The Russian army is currently trying to advance northeast of Huliaipole and aims to cut off the logistics route leading from Pokrovsk in the Dnipropetrovsk region,” the report says.
In recent days, the Russians have become more active in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions – up to 50 combat clashes, assault attempts, and infiltrations have been recorded during the day.
“The enemy is firing on our positions and has effectively destroyed all the fortifications and shelters that were there, so we had to retreat from some positions in some settlements, either to the flank or deeper into the defense. The enemy is trying to enter these positions, bring in reinforcement groups, and continue its advance. The situation is quite complicated,” said the Southern Defense Forces.
According to the military, in the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers are using weather conditions to advance in small groups — on foot and on motorcycles. Due to weather conditions, Ukrainian defenders are limited in their use of drones.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 16:00 on November 11, fighting continues in the Huliaipole direction in the areas of the settlements of Zelenyi Hai and Novouspenivske.
