The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Defense Forces continue taking measures to prevent Russian troops from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. Since the beginning of the day, 78 combat engagements have taken place.
Border communities in Chernihiv and Sumy regions — including Kliusy, Zarichchia, Bohdanove, Korenyok, Bobylivka, Yastrubshchyna, Shalyhyne and Buniakyne — came under Russian artillery fire.
On the Northern–Slobozhanske and Kursk axes, the enemy carried out 79 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements. In the Southern–Slobozhanske sector, Ukrainian forces are repelling two Russian assaults near Vovchansk.
No offensive actions were recorded on the Kupiansk axis. On the Lyman axis, Russian troops launched seven assaults near Hrekivka, Derylove, Zarichne, Myrne, and toward Oleksandrivka and Stavky. One engagement is still ongoing.
On the Sloviansk axis, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks as the enemy attempted to advance near Yampil and Serebrianka. On the Kramatorsk axis, Russian forces made an unsuccessful attempt to breach Ukrainian defenses near Chasiv Yar.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the enemy conducted 13 assault operations near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka and toward Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka. Two battles are still ongoing.
The most intense fighting remains on the Pokrovsk axis, where Russian troops attempted 27 times to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions toward Novyi Shakhovyi, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, as well as near Novoekonomichne, Kotlyne, Udachne and Dachne. Ukrainian forces have repelled 21 attacks; six engagements continue.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, Ukrainian troops repelled nine Russian assaults near Yalta, Sosnivka, Verbove, Zlahoda, Krasnohirske, Pryvilne and Solodke. On the Hulyaipole axis, 13 battles occurred, with five still ongoing. On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy launched two unsuccessful attacks toward Novoandriivka and Prymorske.
On the Dnipro River axis, Russian troops tried unsuccessfully to approach Ukrainian positions near the Antonivskyi Bridge. On other fronts, the situation remains largely unchanged.
