Japanese police have detained Ukrainian bloggers after they broadcast a live stream from a territory closed to visitors near the Fukushima nuclear power plant. This was reported by France24 with reference to local authorities.

According to the investigation, three Ukrainian citizens entered an abandoned house in the town of Okuma, located within the “difficult-to-return zone.” During the live stream, they drank tea and examined belongings left behind by residents evacuated after the 2011 disaster.

One of the viewers of the stream reported the incident to the police. The bloggers were subsequently detained, and all admitted their guilt. Japanese media note that the offenders may face up to 10 years in prison.
