Day 1153 of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. From April 20 to April 21, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 96 enemy attacks. The largest number of attacks was recorded at the Pokrovske, Kurske and Lyman directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy fired 1882 times at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, including 33 times from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 957 kamikaze drones to attack.
Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman and Siversk sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy tried once to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders near the village of Krasne Pershe.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy attacked near Holubivka yesterday.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 12 times. They tried to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense near Nadiya, Myrne, Hrekivka, Katerynivka, Nove and Yampolivka.
In the Seversky sector, the enemy made three attempts to advance in the area of Bilohorivka and Ivano-Daryivka.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked five times in the area of Chasovyi Yar and in the direction of Stupochky and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 10 attacks near Druzhba, Toretsk and Leonidivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 39 aggressor’s assault actions in the areas of Sukha Balka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka and Rozlyv.
Novopavlivka, Orikhove, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivsk sector, the enemy conducted five attacks in the area of Kostiantynopol, Skudne and towards Odradne over the past day.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the occupation forces advanced four times on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky and Stepove.
No combat engagements took place in the Huliaypillia and Prydniprovia sectors yesterday.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
In the Kursk region, the enemy made 184 attacks yesterday, 17 of which were from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders stopped 16 invaders’ assault actions.
