Andrii Tkachuk is a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war who served in the Sich battalion and defended Ukraine in the east. After returning from the front, he continued his sports career and became one of the world’s strongest ultramarathoners.

In 2019, Tkachuk already competed in this competition in Alba, taking 10th place with a result of 262.788 km. Last year, he won BukoTrail-2024, running 78 km.

The athlete also holds the national record of Ukraine – he covered 435.466 km during the Ukrainian 48-hour running championship.

The victory in Alba was another confirmation that Ukrainian athletes remain among the strongest even in the world’s most enduring disciplines.
