Ukrainian forces are continuing operations to clear the city of Pokrovsk of Russian troops, the 7th Air Assault Corps said in a statement on Monday afternoon.

According to the report, in recent days Ukrainian units have secured conditions to reinforce their positions in the area with additional personnel and equipment. Active clearing is underway in the northern part of the city. The Ukrainian military says it has halted further Russian advances there and prevented Russian forces from cutting the road linking Pokrovsk and Rodynske.

On November 2, Ukrainian troops eliminated 19 Russian soldiers in the city, the corps said. Additional assault units and special forces are being deployed to counter the enemy.

The situation in the nearby city of Myrnohrad is described as tense but stable. A small Russian group — around ten soldiers — has been detected on the southeastern outskirts. Efforts to eliminate them are ongoing, and Ukrainian defenses in the city have been reinforced.

The corps noted that Ukrainian forces have “clear plans to counter the enemy” and maintain close coordination to stabilize the situation on this sector of the front.
