On February 17, a new round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia began in Switzerland. The agenda for the meetings includes security and humanitarian issues.

This was announced by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.

“We have a framework for work and a clear mandate agreed upon by the President of Ukraine. The agenda includes security and humanitarian issues,” he added.

According to Umerov, the negotiations are constructive, focused, and without unnecessary expectations. The main task is to push forward as much as possible with decisions that can bring about a lasting peace.

The NSDC secretary expressed his gratitude to the American side for its involvement and consistent work in the negotiation process, and to Switzerland for organizing and providing the conditions for the meetings.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that no news should be expected after the first day of negotiations, as the parties intend to continue their work on February 18.
