The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of understanding with the German company Diehl Defense, which produces IRIS-T systems, an important part of Ukraine’s air defense shield.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The memorandum provides for a threefold increase in the supply of missiles and air defense systems.
“The protection of Ukrainian skies and cities is our priority. The signed agreement paves the way for large industrial projects that will strengthen the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense,” said Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
The Defense Minister emphasized the importance of the steps taken by the world’s leading defense companies to meet Ukraine.
“The free world is on our side, and together we are opening up new opportunities to strengthen our defense,” the statement said.
