Ukraine receives $1.1 billion from the IMF

Under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, Ukraine has received a $1.1 billion tranche from the IMF.

This is the sixth tranche from the Fund, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

The funds have already been transferred to Ukraine’s accounts and will be used to finance important budget expenditures.

In total, Ukraine has already received $9.8 billion from the IMF under this program. Shmyhal thanked the IMF for its steadfast support of Ukraine during the full-scale war.

The IMF’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine has been in place since 2023 and is designed for four years, until 2027. The total amount of the program is $15.6 billion. The EFF is part of an international support package for Ukraine that currently amounts to approximately $122 billion.
