Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire during the Easter holidays. Kyiv is also open to an energy truce and other formats to reduce hostilities.
As reported by Ukrainska Pravda, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready for any ceasefire format that does not compromise the country’s sovereignty and dignity.
According to him, Ukraine supports both a full ceasefire and partial arrangements, including in energy, food security, as well as at sea and in the air.
The president stressed that this includes stopping strikes on infrastructure and fully halting the use of missiles and drones.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has already proposed such initiatives before and remains open to negotiations.
He also expressed doubt that Russia could use a short-term truce to strengthen its positions, emphasizing that this is not possible within a few days.
Zelenskyy recalled that Russian forces had previously claimed they would quickly capture Kyiv, but failed to do so.
