Ukraine handed a note of protest to the Israeli ambassador over the import of agricultural products which, according to Kyiv, Russia had transported from the occupied territories. The Ukrainian side demands an immediate halt to such shipments.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On April 28, Israel’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Michael Brodsky was summoned to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was handed a note of protest.

The reason is the continued arrival in Israel of products illegally exported by Russia from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

“The origin of this grain has been definitively established, and the schemes used to conceal it—in particular, ‘ship-to-ship’ transshipments in the Black Sea—are well known, including to the relevant Israeli authorities. Despite this, such cargoes continue to arrive at Israeli ports and enter commercial circulation,” said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Georgiy Tykhyi.

According to him, ignoring Ukraine’s official appeals and requests for international legal assistance, including requests to detain vessels and cargo, creates conditions for the legalization of the stolen grain.

Ukraine demands that the Israeli side immediately take measures to halt the import of such grain and prevent its unloading at Israeli ports. The Foreign Ministry also emphasized that Ukraine is countering such activities by Russia in all regions.
